I’ve always been fascinated with scary stories and ghosts.
It’s neat right, because why does this happen? Why are they still here and what do they want?
SO this week for Episode 5 we decided to talk about none other than the Stanley Hotel in Colorado! Now the hubby wants to go stay there so this may have been a mistake – but it’s cool and creepy and has to be talked about!
I first learned about it watching The Shining (probably like most people) but continued to learn about it when it was featured on a few episodes of an awesome show called Ghost Hunters.
#75 – The Disappearance of Nicole Morin – Marriage, Hauntings, and Murder
Nicole Morin was only 8 years old when she went missing from her apartment building – but what happened?

There are ghosts all over, in every part and they are ALL DIFFERENT in many ways.
Have you ever heard of the Stanley Hotel hauntings?
What part scared you most?
I would love to go stay at the Stanley Hotel. Loving this podcast. I listen to it while I am working and cleaning the house.

Learning of haunted hotels is definitely intriguing, as I find there’s great history to learn. Yet, staying in a haunted hotel. Yowers! For me, that’s a no-go (I’m a scaredy cat).

Maybe we should just send your Hubby and my Wife while you and I go party in Denver?? Darcee has always loved the story behind the Stanley and several times while living in Cheyenne, she tried to get her friends to go with her but they were all too chicken. So now she has me, a wild man from New Orleans where ghosts are an everyday affair and she wants me to take her!

I used to encounter ghosts when I was a kid and living in rural areas. Nowadays I rarely encountered one but still believe in their existence.

The Stanley Hotel is gorgeous. I’m not sure that I’d want to be near room 217, especially at night, but it is a beautiful historic hotel.
