On Monday, October 25th, 2021, the Cook County Sheriff’s Department announced they identified the remains of Francis Wayne Alexander, a North Carolina native who was found in Gacy’s crawl space on Dec. 26, 1978.
Authorities believe Gacy killed Alexander, who would have been 21 or 22 at the time, between early 1976 and early 1977.
He was identified through DNA evidence and genealogical databases and DNA evidence was conducted through a tooth.
Francis’ family was notified and was quoted as saying the following –
“It is hard, even 45 years later, to know the fate of our beloved Wayne,” Wayne’s family said in a statement. “He was killed at the hands of a vile and evil man. Our hearts are heavy and our sympathies go out to the other victims’ families. Our only comfort is knowing this killer no longer breathes the same air as we do.”
John Wayne Gacy was an American serial killer and sex offender known as the Killer Clown who assaulted and murdered at least 33 young men and boys. Gacy regularly performed at children’s hospitals and charitable events as “Pogo the Clown” or “Patches the Clown”.
We’ve talked about Gacy on our podcast in episode 33 back in April – you can listen below if you’d like to! It’s a wild story and one that has been told many times – but Gacy always creeps us out.
Here’s to being able to identify more victims of Gacy and others that have passed through the years and not been able to be identified.
In 1954 Bonnie Huffman went out with her friends to enjoy a movie in Cape Girardeau, MO and then decided to go home to end her night – but she never made it home. A story out of a small town in Delta, MO this story is weird and crazy and still unsolved to this day!

Ahhhh cruises. I am not a big fan of them but I do enjoy the ocean. Now after learning about this story I don’t really want to cruise ever…. ever again. Here’s the story of Rebecca Coriam and her disappearance on a Disney cruise!
It’s a crazy story and there’s definitely more to it that we don’t know! Let’s talk about it!
ALSO exciting news – we’ve started making VIDEOS for our podcast episodes! AHHHH HOW FUN! Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you like videos instead of listening only!

The ad in our podcast this week was from the Uninformed Banker!
HOW did I get halfway through the week and just now realize I didn’t write about last episode? LOL #SendHelp But better late than never so here I am – you’re welcome.
This week we talk about Russel and Shirley Dermond – a couple who retired, well loved and unfortunately murdered in their home and the crime was unlike any other. And as of this day it remains unsolved.
They were an adorable couple, had children, lots of friends and were retired and living their best life. When they didn’t show up for a Kentucky Derby party their friends got concerned and went to check on them and what they found was horrifying.
Yessss I love me a good haunting and this one I had never heard of before! The Whaley Mansion!
Isn’t it neat! And haunted! LOL It’s in San Diego, California and it’s now a museum you can visit anytime you’re near! How fun, right?
Neither of us had ever heard this one before and it’s a lot simpler of a tale than the Winchester House but it’s still a neat one to hear nonetheless! Nothing wrong with a little haunting and a few ghosts!
ALSO – something fun! We’ve got a Digital Download Halloween coloring book on our website now! It’s fun and geared towards adults but children can dolor it too if they’re looking for a harder book to color.
This case drives me INSANE and I remember it so much – where is Brian Schaffer? How can one person just disappear? No traces – nothing. Where did he go? Is he dead? Alive? Hiding? WHERE IS BRIAN SCHAFFER?!
This episode is short and to the point – because it’s one of those that needs to be and also because Ashli does this one on her own. That’s right folks – Eric is gone this week! Boooooo!
So I picked a case that drives me mad – and that’s the case of Brian Schaffer and his disappearance. It’s one that I’ve always wondered if we will ever solve. I feel like there’s more we don’t know but you’ll hear it in this episode. Let’s discuss!
#39 is out and also – SURPRISE – we’ve been podcasting for ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! YAAAAYYY!!!!!
We’ve excited about being here for a year and we can’t wait to keep going – but enough about us! Episode 39 is out and it’s all about Albert Fish and his horrible crimes. He’s heinous – he’s honestly the worst – and it’s to him and everyone around him.
This episode is NOT for the faint of heart so if you’re squeamish then this episode may not be for you! Like I said – his crimes were horrible and we all know it can get bad… and these were.
Don’t forget we’ve started making Wacky Wednesday episodes on our Patreon account – so if you want to join and listen tier $5 and up get to listen! You won’t want to miss out!
Todays story is kind of a haunting and kind of a history lesson – we talk about the Winchester Mystery House! Sarah Winchester made this house what it is today – but why? Well – let us tell you!
I want to go here SO BAD and take the tour – they offer two so of course I think I need to take both – but I would LOVE to do this one day! It’s so fascinating to see and it would be amazing to see the rooms and how it’s built – it’s so cool!
So enjoy the Winchester House episode and let us know what you think!
This episode is one we mentioned in Episode 36 and we couldn’t stop thinking about it so we thought it was one we should bring up and discuss for real. The case of Timmothy Pitzen!
Timmothy has been missing since May 2011 and the case has been cold for a long, long time. It’s one of those cases that you can’t believe happened and you have no idea what actually happened and probably never will.
At the end of the episode you’ll hear how Ashli has hope for Timmothy being found because she really hopes he is and hopes he sees anything saying HEY THIS IS YOU COME OUT – but you never really know.
Is he just gone? Is he deceased? Is he safe? No one knows – but hopefully one day we will!
